Gelemis ToursIn 1996, we opened our travel company GELEMIS TOURISM. For those of you wanting to explore some of the many interesting sites, ancient monuments and places of natural beauty in the area, a wide variety of excursions are available to you. We believe that you should have excellent personal service so group size is kept to maximum of 14 in order to get the best from a small group atmosphere. All travel is in air conditioned mini-bus

Kekova, Myra and St. Nicholas Church

Visit the rock tombs of Myra and the church of St. Nicholas. Then take a boat tour to explore the beautiful area surrounding the ancient city of Kekova, stopping to swim in beautiful secluded bays. Barbecue lunch on board the boat.

Fethiye (Bazaar & Turkish Bath)

Visit the colourful bazaar, explore the many shops, relax with a drink at one of the cafes overlooking the harbour and visit the impressive rock tombs. Later enjoy an envigorating wash, massage and scrub at Fethiye's traditional Hammam.

Horse Riding

A romantic way to explore the countryside around Patara and an opportunity to ride along the golden sands of Patara Beach. Both beginner and experienced riders catered for.

Paragliding

The ultimate adrenalin rush!!! A tandem jump (with a fully qualified pilot) from the 2000 meter peak of Baba Dag, gliding slowly down to the Oludeniz Beach taking in breathtaking scenery. A fantastic experience... not to be missed!

Tlos, Saklikent and Xanthos

Visit the ancient, dramatically positioned site of Tlos before moving on to explore the magnificent gorge at Saklikent (Turkey's deepest gorge). Then discover the fascinating ruins of the ancient Lycian capital at Xanthos

Lazy Days Boat Tour

Spend the day meandering around the coast by boat. Includes visits to Yali Cave, Blue Cave and Kaputas Beach. Barbecue lunch will be served to you at picturesque, secluded bay. Spend the day sunning yourself on deck, relaxing with a book or taking the opportunity to snorkel and swim in the tuequoise blue waters.

Islamlar Village

We take a short drive up into the foothills of the Taurus mountains to visit the small village, famous of trout. After a stroll around the village learning a little of the life here, we take a tea in the local tea house. We then enjoy a leisurely supper of delicious freshly cooked trout in a restaurant with spectecular views across to the bay at Kalkan.

Trekking

For those of you who enjoy walking, treks can be arranged in the local area during the cooler months between October and May.

12 Islands Boat Tour

A leisurely cruise around the turquoise waters of the gulf of Fethiye. Plenty of opportunities to swim, including a stop at Cleopatra's bath. Lunch on the board.

Canoe Tour

The perfect day for those who enjoy the outdoors. No canoeing experience required to share an exhilarating day in Patara National Park, enjoying the natural wonders of the most unspoilt areas in Turkey.

Scuba Diving

Experience the beauty of the underwater world with Baracuda Diving, the dive operators with whom we work in Kalkan. There are a wide assortment of dive packs and courses available for both the beginner and the experienced diver. We provide transfer to and from Kalkan.

Water Sports

The increasingly popular recreational activities of waterskiing. And jet skiing are available to you just a 20 min. ride away in neighbouring Kalkan. Most activities can be arranged by the hour, day or half day. Great fun for everyone.

Gombe and the White Mountain

Travel up into the Taurus mountains through some spectacular scenery and one of the world's largest cedar forests. Stop for refreshment in the small town of Gombe before walking up to the "Green Lake" and then over to the waterfall which gushes down from these mountains. Meet the nomadic people who still return to these cooler pastures in the heat of the Summer, before who driving through the apple orchards to Elmali. A chance to glimpse of Turkish mountain village life.

Moonlight Cruise

A leisurely evening cruise around the bay of Kalkan. Dinner is served on board whilst you enjoy the beautiful nightscape under the stars.

Olympos

A little further afield but well worth the early start is Olympos set in its own national park where you can enjoy the ancient ruins, the beach with its freshwater stream and the mountainside. Here you can do the Chimaera walk; a short but dramatic climb through forest, to reach the extraordinary flames that burn eternally on the hillside.
